The search for you Birth FamilyOnce you have your original birth certificate you will have details to start your search. Your mother may well have been single at the time of your birth and has more than likely married changing her name. St Catherine's House in London hold all records for Births Deaths & Marriages for England and Wales. You will be able to find her Birth and Marriage record. You can order the certificates you require (a fee will be charged). You can look for records of any other children born into that marriage if any. The next stage would be to check addresses on the Electoral Rolls. Some people go to great lengths not to be found. If you search proves unsuccessful don't give up, there are other methods you can try.
