Judy (Tanner) Giles was born in Hereford in 1943.
After her mother's early death Judy was eventually fostered into a loving home.
She spent her childhood living on the Bromyard Downs. An area of natural beauty the downs was idyllic for a young child to spend time exploring and having fun.
She writes fondly of her new family and the many friends Judy was fortunate to spend those early years with.
Those formative years gave her a love for the countryside that she holds so very dear today.
After leaving school and later Art college she was able to apply her love of art to a career lasting 37 years.
Now retired and with brush, pen and pencil still in hand, she is forever seeking new forms of creativity.
Judy's book 'The House on the Downs' caputures visually into words a childhood full of fun, laughter and experiences.
She hopes the reader will enjoy and remember those happy times we all spent as children.
